Headquarters, their first
real album on which there were almost no session players. The album was bolstered by surprisingly strong writing from Mike Nesmith and Dolenz and marked a turning point for the band from just a TV cast churning out pre-written songs, to an actual group of singers and songwriters working together creatively.
