Join me for a deep dive into the nation's capitol, not the swampy reflecting pool, no I am turning the wayback machine to the early 80s and the beginnings of the mod revival in Washington DC.

To bring us this mod origin story I am joined by a man who was there to see it all as it happened, the lead singer for mod power pop rockers Modest Proposal, and The Mondays!, friend of the Modcast Neal Augenstein.

And we'll get an early listen to the debut single from DC's The Generation, which was locked in a London storage unit for 33 years.

Also, Bill Crandall from Modest Proposal has a great blog post remembering many of Washington DC's mod revival bands.
